COLIN YORK (Jon Gries) is an Obsessive-Compulsive who manages to keep his life together as long as he doesn’t step out of his “zone”. The moment he does, things begin to fall apart, fast.
Colin’s wife JENNIFER (Cynthia Watros) inherits her family’s summer home on an idyllic island. Teenager ANNA (Brittany Robertson) is furious she has to spend so much time away from her friends, especially with her little brother PATRICK (Ashton Dierks), a geeky six-year old with more imagined friends than real ones. Then she meets SEAN REDHORSE (Brian Burnett), a handsome local boy, and she changes her mind about what island life is like.
Island residents are obsessed with reports that an escaped circus animal is roaming the island feeding on garbage…and the Yorks determine to keep a close eye on Anna and Patrick. Patrick fears for the animal’s safety and one night, goes out to find it….and instead of a ferocious predator, he finds Frank.
The last thing Colin needs is a dog, who does nothing but infuse the household with slobber, drool and dirt. But Frank is more than an ordinary dog, and Colin must overcome his own issues before he’ll understand how important Frank is to him and his entire family.
